Tyler Beatrice on the Handpan, A musical instrument, a type of steelpan, played by striking the metal surface with the hands. It's made of two hemispherical steel shells glued together, with a center tone field (Ding) and a ring of other tone fields around it. The instrument is tuned to a specific scale and produces a unique, ethereal sound.
