Shout Out Saugerties' Art Inside Out Installation

SpeedyMart Wall on Market Street

“Art Inside Out,” a dynamic new mural installation at Speedy Mart, debuts with the unveiling of ‘Water’s Edge’ by local artist Anne Leith. Join us at the corner of Market and Main Streets on Weds., April 17th at 6:00 PM for the official launch.

Produced by Shout Out Saugerties in collaboration with Speedy Mart owner Harry Barot, Art Inside Out creates a changing outdoor gallery and represents a unique approach to exhibiting community art.

The initiative was sparked by discussions during the "Community Conversations: Balanced Growth" sessions held at the Orpheum. A dedicated Advisory Committee - comprising Angela Gaffney-Smith, Robert Langdon, and Suzanne Bennett - spearheaded the project to turn these community visions into a reality.

This project is about more than just one painting; it’s about creating a rotating platform for our local creative voice. A Review Board of artists and community members will select a new featured artist for each subsequent installation, roughly every 4 - 6 months.
